In such a technologically focused time where YouTube and social media are ever present it has never been easier to overlook great resources such as in-person instruction. However, be it an act of defiance, I think it's now more important than ever to dig in and take stock of our own knowledge and skills in order to share what we love and what we're interested in learning in our communities. We should allow this newfound technology to motivate and aid in our personal connections and our passions for learning new things. Recently a survey was conducted by Wyzant, a Chicago based company that connects students with private tutors, of their 50+ tutor demographic in order to better understand their motivations for tutoring.
